Rev.J. Francis Stroud, S.J.

the executive director of the
DeMello Spirituality Center (legal title: The Center for Spiritual Exchange)
taught 9 years at Loyola Marymount University in
Los Angeles. His course consisted of applying the spiritual
principles of Anthony DeMello, S.J. to the students’experiences of film
and television.
A number of Hollywood personalities made guest appearances and talked
to the students, including Guiliana Santini, star of TV’s "Home Front",
Carmen Finestra, President of Wind Dancer Studios ("What Women Want"
starring Mel Gibson), executive producer and writer of the TV series
"Home Improvement" with Tim Allen, Norman Lear (producer of more
than 20 Television series), Jim Byrnes (screenwriter for Walker Texas Ranger) et.al.
All were well received and gave the students inspiring presentations.
